Founded by Megan Imrie, the Windsong Trio has developed their stellar reputation by celebrating the uniqueness of each couple they work with, helping them to find the perfect way to tell their special story. Megan’s musical adventure began at age 3, when her heart and soul compelled her to teach herself to read music. After years of jobs in various fields, she’s came full circle and combined all her skills and love to form the Windsong Trio. Over the last 30+ years, the company has evolved to a group of 10 flute and string musicians, who’s talent and experience help to bring joy to the many special events that mark people’s lives: weddings, parties, corporate gatherings and Holiday celebrations.“I Love my couples! Each couple is so remarkable, with their own distinct vision of what they want this amazing day in their lives to be – even when they’re not quite sure how to articulate it. It can be wonderfully romantic, elegantly formal, beautifully traditional, upbeat and trendy, or even playfully “nerdy”. There’s nothing packaged or formulaic about any performance. The creativity is sparked and driven by what speaks to the hearts of the client. It may be a piece that fits the laid-back personality of the groom’s entrance on horseback or a spine-tingling trumpet fanfare before the bride sweeps down the grand staircase. It might be a heart-stopping recessional featuring 2 trumpets that causes the Bride & Groom to stop, turn around and enjoy the moment, or it’s bringing in a Taiko drummer at the last moment because the piece just cried out for it – leaving the bride, groom, and guests in awe. Moments like these are created by a passionate love for music, and a commitment to every beautiful love story.
